Grief counseling to help you honor, process, & heal your grief

336474890You don’t have to suffer alone.

My life’s mission is to ensure no one suffers alone. I aim to provide quality care to all seeking an authentic life in healing.

We will all lose someone we love at some point in our life – most of us at many points – and the loss can often hit us harder than we expect and at unexpected times. The road to healing and understanding our feelings is not always easy.

If you’re constantly thinking, “I’m overwhelmed. I’m sad. I’m exhausted,” you’re in the right place.

Grief enters all our lives at some point.

Months following a loss, divorce, separation, job loss, or any unexpected life event can change your life radically in many ways. These events can cause you to be in touch with an ocean of grief, much of which will feel like you’ve been holding back for what feels like lifetimes.

Functioning in survival mode for months or even years can be draining and affect every aspect of our lives – especially our close relationships.

I’m here for you when you’re ready to start addressing these emotions and making changes. I’m here to work with you through blocks and setbacks and work together by holistically implementing mind, body, and spirit strategies.

Grieving is exhausting.

Grief is a never-ending battle of a million different feelings. Every day feels like another ride on a rollercoaster of emotions; you aren’t sure when to expect what.

Some days, you wake up, and it feels like the tears won’t stop. They start over the slightest thing; seeing a picture, song or smell.

On other days, you have a short temper. Everything sets you off, and it’s even more frustrating because you’ve never expressed such anger.

Not all days are difficult. Some days you wake up and feel good, but then you feel guilty that you aren’t sad.

It feels like you’ll never feel better.

When you’re grieving, it’s impossible to see the other side.

The hard feelings dominate your life and make it difficult to think you’ll feel better. And on the days you do feel better, it is fleeting.

There are constant reminders of your life, or you feel ashamed to have a good day because they are still gone.

Overcoming grief can seem hopeless at times.

There is hope.

There is no life hack for grief, no shortcut through pain, and no sustainable way to avoid sorrow.

The reality is that nothing is permanent. And while feelings of grief might be overwhelming and hard to navigate, they won’t last forever. But to overcome those hard feelings, you must move through them.

The best way to move through your grief is to talk about those feelings in a space where you can feel vulnerable. In that safe space, you can feel safe as you share the ugly parts of grief and how it has upended your life.

By digging through the problematic parts of your grief, you’ll get to a place where it feels more manageable. And while it takes time, there will be a time when you start to create a new sense of what normal is. You won’t be the same person you were before the loss, but you’ll find a new version of yourself that honors your grief and what you lost.

As heavy as grief can be, I design our sessions to meet you where you’re at. The goal is to support and work with grievers who need help processing and moving forward.

Grief never goes away; it’s not supposed to. The work we do acknowledges and honors that while simultaneously healing. We talk about the day-to-day with your grief and have a long-term goal of where you want to be with it after six months.

Anything too hard to say, we take to the page. Writing was monumental for me in figuring out how to navigate my emotions, and I bring that into our sessions to help you with yours.

My life’s work was born out of my grief, and I know I can help you co-create and alchemize your pain into promise.

There are many ways we can work together but two of the most popular are…..

Therapeutic coaching, also known as theracoaching, combines the best elements of therapy and coaching to provide a unique and powerful approach to achieving your goals and creating a more fulfilling life.

Individual therapy is a way to get highly tailored one-on-one support for navigating life. Therapy offers a space to feel understood and accepted so you can figure out what’s happening inside, move through difficult things, experience healing, and find hope.

WHAT I BELIEVE

The first part in the grieving process is to honor the grief existing. This can be challenging, especially when the world is still turning and telling you to move on. Grief isn’t linear and there isn’t a finish line, as it is always with you. It’s an opportunity to expand your emotional capacity but before that happens, it has to be acknowledged in order to be dealt with.

I believe that grief can be the birthplace of exponential growth if you tend to it with care.

Grief comes to us all at some point. Starting on a healing journey cannot be bypassed. It is a path you must walk, a race you must finish and no one else can do it for you.
